Ugggg! Cough! Sniffle! Sneeze! Snore! I seem to have caught some sort of virus. My body hurts, my nose is running, my head aches......all I want to do is sleep, sleep, sleep! My hubby had the same thing last week and lucky, lucky me he decided to share it with me! Valentine's Day is only a week away and I asure you I will NOT be asking him to be my Valentine this year! Of course, as most wives do, I am holding him totally accountable for me having to suffer with this nasty little virus! It may not be fair, and it may not be his fault....but some how, in my feverish little mind, I will find a way to twist the details to make him TOTALLY accountable! It makes me feel better....along with tylenol, soft tissues and hot tea!

Christmas is almost here!!! I know, I know, we are not suppose to say Merry Christmas anymore, for fear of insulting someone. This is something I truly don't understand. By wishing someone a Merry Christmas you are wishing them happiness, joy and love. If you do not celebrate Christmas that is fine but there is no need for you to be insulted when I wish you a Merry Christmas.....I am meaning you well. You do not have to respond. You don't have to say anything. You could wish me a Happy Hanullah or a Happy Kwanzza and I will accept that greeting with the good will it was given.....I would not be insulted even though I do not celebrate those holidays. Whatever traditions or holidays you celebrate this season....I wish you that happiest and joyest of celebrations! Merry Christmas to you! xo

Good afternoon dudes and dudettes!
Today is Monday....the start of a brand new week. The sun is shining, there isn't a flake of snow on the ground, my laundry is done....life is good.....EXCEPT....I am waiting for something....AND I HATE WAITING! Recently I had a meeting with a television network that wanted to meet with me about doing a show based around me. AWESOME! The meeting went well and at the end of it all they hugged me goodbye and said "We will contact you shortly...could be in one week could be in nine weeks!" UGGGGG!!! This is the begining of week number three. NUMBER THREE!!! I think I am going a wee bit insane waiting for a phone call, an email, a text....ANYTHING!!! Please, please, please cross all your fingers and toes that when I do eventually, finally hear from them....it will be news that was well worth the wait!

There are tonnes of new reality-type shows hitting the small screens lately....Big Hair Alaska, Sons of Guns and the latest American Hoggers. The show is based around a family that hunts and tracks wild hogs. What? Come on! That's not entertainment! How come they get their own show and I don't...not fair I tells ya! So...I just came up with my own reality-type show....ERICA SCOTT...CANADIAN PIG RIDER! Now THAT'S a show!!!!

Uggggg!!!! I wish I new my way around a computer better! When I was in highschool we had typing classes....typing on a typewriter...not a keyboard. Anything and everything I know about computers I was taught by my three young children! Not being computer literate in today's world can be maddening...MADDENING I TELL YA!!! I am trying to get a merchandise site up.....easier said than done! I had one....or have one...I don't know which. On my links page it will say LINK TO MY CAFEPRESS MERCHANDISE....I did that and all of a sudden my site was no longer there.....WHAT? I have had a few peeps buy stuff off it, and I know it was running not too long ago....so I have no idea what the problem is...and I spent four hours this morning trying to figure out what it was and still am clueless! So I tried opening up another merchandise site.....don't think I was successful at this either. Will have to come back to it.....if I don't walk away from my computer at this moment....I may just end up either throwing the monitor or weeping in a fetal position on the floor....or both!

I used to worry about 'being normal' or 'being just like everyone else'. Why? We all have our quirks, or ticks, our faults, our skeletons.....these are things that make us unique...one of a kind...an original. When you look at another person's life......we see only the external...not what goes on behind closed doors. That 'perfect person'....has the same hangups we do....the same worries....the same woes. Noone is perfect.....we all need to survive....we all need to thrive. Even the Queen of England has to go underwear shopping, pluck her chin hairs, blow her nose! Be happy with who you are......who you have become....who you will become....because YOU are simply amazing!

The life of a comedian....it ain't all it's cracked up to be! A comic can work for years and years and years before they see any real profit, success or fame. The first three years I did stand-up....I did it for free. I would drive three, four hours to perform on a stage for five minutes, turn around and drive the three, four hours back home.....without recieving a penny. Sometimes I would be given a fee pop, or a free beer or once I even got a free plate of nachos and cheese.....but never any money. I am starting to see a bit of a profit now....if my gas money is paid...I consider the night a success. Although I love doing what I am doing.....making people laugh (not all people....but some)....it is a career that in order to be successful...you must NEVER give up. You must keep performing in dark, seedy rooms...you must keep driving five hours to perform in front of a crowd that doesn't find jokes about your husband funny....you must keep going in 'the red' in order to cover your own traveling expenses...you must keep doing all this because one day.....some day......you will be 'discovered'.....you will be at the right place at the right time......your hard work will pay off. Here's to that 'day' coming soon! With three kids, a dog, a cat, a lizard and a husband.....I can' only go so long on 'hope'. Soon I am afraid, I will have to make a decision.....continue comedy at little pay....or quit comedy and get a real paying job. For now.....I won't give up. I believe big things will happen. I will keep my chin up and my thoughts positive. Cheers!

Ever google your name? Do it! I double dog dare you! It's amazing what you will find. I did it awhile ago and found that I was the featured comedian on the PlumpPrincess website! Who knew! Googled my name another time and found I was the featured monthly comedy video on ChubbyRadio. What??!??!! Today...I did the google-my-name thingy....found that I was on a site called BEST COMEDY TICKETS! YAHHH!!! This is a nice and welcome surprise! Wheeeew! The Scotts have been 'on the go' since the end of June....and let me tell you...we are too pooped to poop! Our latest adventrue was to The Pinery Provincial Park which is located about an hour outside of Sarnia Ontario. It took us about seven hours to get there, we stayed from Sunday to Thursday and every minute was filled with laughter, fun, hugs, smiles, marshmallows, hotdogs, creepy crawly bugs....and wonderful, wonderful memories! While I will be the first to admit...I would prefer to sleep in a fluffy bed in a beautiful hotel with running water, electricity and internet access....I wouldn't trade the time spent sleeping on an airmatress (that never seemed to say full), eating hot dogs for lunch EVERY DAY and creating magical moments with my sister, her four wonderful boys, my dad, my hubbylicious and my kiddies for all the money in the entire universe! I can honestly say...I CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT ALL AGAIN!

I will be the first to admit it....I HATE driving in the city, I SUCK at driving in the city! All those cars going at insane speeds, swirving in and out, honking, braking, revving....makes me crazy! This fear has prevented me from traveling to a lot of different comedy clubs in Montreal, New York City, Toronto by myself. The fear consumes me and overwhelms me and I cry, I sweat, I basically have a breakdown behind the wheel. Last weekend I travelled to Toronto. Usually I take the train...but this time I decided to 'suck it up buttercup' and drive. This is a short video I made of one leg of my journey!

Happy Friday!!!! The sun is shining, the birds are singing....it is indeed a glorious day! I am headed out the door shortly....waddling my way to work where I will make the WORLD'S BEST SLUSHIES! Honestly...if slushie making was an olympic sport I would crowned with a golden tiara...they are like a delicious, icy rainbow in a cup! :) The picture to the left? That is my hubbylicious! He doesn't allow the camera to snap his image too often so when his handsome mug is captured it's a big deal! Isn't he delicious! :)
